Facilities available for hire


We have a modern facility that contains a large auditorium, full size basketball court / hall and serveral conference rooms available for individual and periodic hire.

We offer a full catering service should it be required, or self catering is available with our large commercial grade kitchen.




The design of the auditorium boasts high ceilings, sloping floor, a large stage area with theatre curtains, sides wings and dessing rooms. The auditorum seats 320 and is air conditioned. In addition, sound, lighting and audiovisual facilities are also available for hire. Musical instruments, including electric piano are NOT available for hire.


Conference/Meeting Rooms


We have 3 different conference rooms available for hire. These rooms can seat between 20 and 70 people and are airconditioned. Tables and chairs are included with the hire of these rooms.


Recreation Hall / Basketball Court


This area is a large, high ceiling, non-airconditioned, concrete all-weather facility. It can be accessed via its own entrance or the main building entrance. The commercial grade kitchen is in this same vicinity, providing ease of access for large catered functions. Tables and chairs for 200 people are included in the hire of this area.




The commercial grade kitchen is available for self-catered and fully catered functions. This facitlity is air conditioned and fully equipped with two double ovens, commerical grade dishwasher, commercial fridge, large wash tubs, instant boiling water, two separate serveries, a fully equipped store room with catering equiment and plenty of bench space.




Both onsite and off site catering is available. Fully catered options range from wraps, snacks and finger food to elegant three course fine dining. The kitchen is fully stocked with catering equipment such as crockery, utensils, urns, jugs, glassware and table cloths.


Marquee and Folding Chairs Hire


A large marquee and folding chairs to seat 100 people are available for hire.


Regulations and considerations with use


Smoking and consumption of alcohol is prohibited on site.

Current council regulations stipulate that all buildings must be vacated by 10pm.

A booking, cleaning and breakage bond is required with each booking.

Name and address of Metford Community Baptist Church is to be included in all advertising and marketing of events.

A copy of your Public liability insurance certificate is required, if not eligible to utilise the church's insurance.

Use of sound, audiovisual and lighting is only available with a church operator or someone with approved training.

Copyright laws limit the playing of taped or recorded music without permission.
